Swedish folk music experienced a revival from 1975 onwards. Today the Spelmansförbund organises concerts, tours, and events, such as the “Folk Music Café” to keep the tradition alive. This beautiful album presents a cross section of polskas, engelskas, schottises, and other Swedish dances played on authentic traditional instruments, such as the nykkelharpa (a keyed fiddle), fiddles, accordions, etc. Information in English, German, French and Spanish.
