Music from Vietnam & Cambodia

This album presents authentic traditional music from South Vietnam and Cambodia played on indigenous instruments such as the dan tranh (a sixteen string zither), the dan nguyet (a moon-shaped lute), roneat ek (a wooden xylophone) and the korng tauch (circular frame gongs). The music is very soft and restful – consisting of instrumental tracks as well as pieces with singing. The CD booklet contains photographs plus extensive information about the music and the instruments.
