Taraful din Baia with the typical instrumentation of two violins, accordion and taragot (folk oboe) presents Romanian Gypsy music. The majority of the music is from Banat where Serb influence is present. The songs of that area are mostly laments whereas the typical Gypsy songs from Transylvania are lively and cheerful. Taraful din Baia is an active touring group playing at births, baptisms, weddings and funerals. Information in English, German and Spanish plus some of the original lyrics in the booklet.
