In January of 2005 Celtic Folk Trio Golden Bough celebrated 25 years as touring and recording artists with three memorable reunion concerts in Northern California. Paul Espinoza and Margie Butler, along with current Golden Bough fiddle-player, Kathy Sierra, were joined by former members, Lief Sørbye, Margot Duxler, Florie Brown, Sue Draheim and Richard Ferry.

Two of these concerts were performed at The Freight & Salvage in Berkeley and The ayhouse in Winters, California. This live recording presents some of Golden Bough's most requested songs from the last 25 years.

From their beginnings in the Irish pubs of San Francisco and in the streets and folk clubs throughout Europe to achieving international recognition in crowded theatres, concert halls and festivals, Golden Bough has become a popular and in demand group on both sides of the Atlantic.

In the recording studio, as well as on stage, Golden Bough captures the essence and joy of traditional folk music and captivates listeners with the uniqueness of their original compositions. With songs and instrumental pieces ranging from ballads to lively jigs, reels and sing-alongs, Golden Bough provides an atmosphere in which the listener can enjoy unique entertainment within and beyond the boundaries of traditional folk music.
