The sitar and surbahar (bass sitar - pronounce: ‘svarbahar’) are two of the main instruments in Indian classical music. Baluji Shrivastav is an artist and multi-instrumentalist of world renown and has played innumerable concerts all over the world. Here he presents six sitar ragas and four surbahar ragas, accopanied on tabla by Ismail Sheikh and Sarvar Sabri. The CD booklet informs extensively about the artists, instruments and pieces.
