Bagpipes of Latvia

This CD presents a variety of traditional Latvian bagpipe dance music as well as contemporary pieces with kokle (Latvian zither), violins, guitar, accordion and bass and sung pieces, accompanied on bagpipes. The booklet provides a historical background, written by an ethnomusicologist and informs about each of the players and the individual pieces in English, German, French and Spanish.
