Didjitalis is Mike Edwards and Nick West. Based in Sydney Australia, this duo has developed a new style of music fusing organic and electronic elements to create infectious dance floor grooves. The album explores the boundary between organic and electronic sound in the context of the trance/dance scene. Punchy, rhythmic, powerful!
Australian Trance Dance is the result of a two-year studio collaboration into the search between the digital and the organic, as influenced by the 40,000 years of Indigenous Australian culture.
After working with aboriginal artists from Elcho Island in northeast Arnhem Land in 1993, Mike Edwards went on to develop a technical mastery and a deep personal connection with the didgeridoo. He has performed at world-renowned festivals and concert halls throughout Australia, Europe and Asia and is an accomplished recording artist.
Nick West started his music career as a DJ in the cybernetic hive of Tokyo. Playing regularly at trance venues both at clubs and outdoor festivals, he learnt to engage the crowd with his superbly crafted beats. He has performed throughout Australia, Japan and Europe and produces music for the dance scene and for films.
